The performer of the role of Tommy in The Last of Us got a small role in the TV series based on the game

HBO has named two new cast of The Last of Us series. Con O’Neill (Chernobyl) will play the role of the recluse Bill, who lives in Lincoln and during the story helps Ellie and Joel, and Murray Bartlett (Iron Fist) will play his partner Frank, who committed suicide after being bitten.

The main purpose was to invite Jeffrey Pearce, who played Tommy Miller, Joel’s brother in the The Last of Us dilogy. In the series, he will have a small role as the rebel Perry, who will appear in several episodes. There are no other details yet.

Filming for The Last of Us began in July in Canada. The pilot episode is filmed by Kantemir Balagov, who recently confirmed on Instagram that the show will be released in 2022. Filming will end in the summer, so the premiere should be expected next fall.

The main roles will be played by Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Bella Ramsay (Game of Thrones) and Gabriel Luna (Agents of SHIELD), who will play Tommy. The script was written by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl), he also acts as a showrunner.
