Johnny Depp said he was asked to turn down his role in Fantastic Beasts
American actor Johnny Depp, who played Grindelwald in two films of the Fantastic Beasts series, has left the popular franchise.
The actor himself announced this on his Instagram page. He explained that Warner Bros., which produces the Harry Potter spin-off, had asked him to step down.

I respect this request and agree with it,” Johnny Depp emphasized.
The third Fantastic Beasts movie is set to premiere in the summer of 2022. Who will take Depp’s place is not yet clear.

Earlier it became known the decision of the Supreme Court of London in the case of Johnny Depp against the publisher of the tabloid The Sun. The actor was denied a libel suit.
