Domestic violence is the most painful problem in Ukraine, the star said.
TV presenter and public figure Masha Efrosinina, on the eve of the local elections, appealed to the candidates and urged them to contribute to the fight against domestic violence in the regions of Ukraine.
“Now you are actively patching holes on the roads, installing playgrounds, worried about hot water. That’s cool! However, I want to remind you of the most painful problem in Ukraine – domestic violence. Our country is critically short of shelters for women and daytime crisis centers, because for every 10,000 population, one bed in a shelter is needed. Now count and review your election programs: have you forgotten to take this into account? ” – Masha Efrosinina addressed through her Instagram account.

According to the public figure, local election candidates should take care of the basic level of security of citizens.
Recall, according to the results of sociological surveys, about 1 million women are subjected to physical and sexual violence in Ukraine every year. 74% of these women did not turn to any organization for help, because they do not believe that they will be helped.
